Category: Building identity, wayfinding, fixed furniture
Client: Novo Nordisk
With up to 41,000 employees across more than 70 countries, Novo Nordisk came to Henning Larsen Design for help in strengthening a unified identity across all of the company’s buildings. Through the design of fixed furniture, signage and interior design guidelines for use in all buildings, Henning Larsen Design has created a framework for visually communicating the Novo Nordisk brand and corporate values. Whether working from an office in Georgia, a laboratory in Bagsværd or a factory in Beijing, all touch points should project a unified Novo Nordisk identity.
The overall design strategy and building identity is based on the company’s long-standing brand, their employees, and their way of working. By establishing guidelines for use of graphic décor, color, upholstery and materials, Henning Larsen Design has created a broad palette of identity intermediaries. High-quality materials, open environments and welcoming spaces now form the framework of the global Novo Nordisk experience.
As part of the assignment, a broad line of fixed interior was designed. Reception pods, board room table, service modules and in house café now shape the daily work routines of both employees and guests. Through round shapes, clean white surfaces and honest materials, all furniture pieces play a part in communicating the story of an open, authentic and true Novo Nordisk.
